How to register for JFT-Basic
The steps to register for the JFT-Basic (Japan Foundation Test for Basic Japanese).

Registration steps
Create a Prometric ID
Get a Prometric ID on the Prometric website.
Test flow (Japan Foundation) ↗Check dates and test centers in your country
The test is generally held every month. Dates and centers differ by country.
Test dates by country (Prometric) ↗Book and pay
Log in with your Prometric ID, choose a date and center, and pay by card/e-wallet or with a voucher. Payment methods vary by country. Book at least 3 business days before the test (4 if the test day is a weekend or holiday).
Take the test
The test is on a computer. Your result appears on screen right after you finish.
Get your result notice
It is issued on the booking site within 5 business days and can be downloaded.
