The steps to register for the S-JEP (Sundai Japanese Examination for Proficiency, formerly JPET). The process differs outside Japan and in Japan.

Taking it in Japan
Apply using the form
Prepare a photo taken within the last 3 months.
How to apply (S-JEP) ↗Pay the fee
Pay at a convenience store (individual ¥7,500 incl. tax).
Receive your admission ticket
Sent by email 5 days before the test.
Take the test
Bring your residence card or passport.
Receive your score report
Sent by mail within 10 days.

- Round 96（2027-02-07）〜2027-01-18
